Youth Media

Youth voices are a critical part of our community dialogue.  Our youth media programs help youth to be critical creators and consumers of media.  Through one-day workshops, summer camps, and customized group training, youth gain creative confidence and strengthen their voice.

    Media Camps

    Explore week-long programs for youth ages 10 and up that give youth hands-on experience in creating non-fiction media for impact. In addition, youth will explore various media production techniques like green screens, stop-motion animation, and more in a fun environment.

    Youth Group Tours

    Share the power of media with your youth group. Contact us to learn about a variety of options that include an introduction to community media, tour of the media access center production facilities, and hands-on activities to create a video for distribution on Public Media Network.

    Tours programs range from 2 to 6 hours.

    Media Training Programs

    Our media education team will work with your organization to provide a media training program for youth that provides youth with the skills to produce non-fiction media that can create an impact. Youth will learn visual documentary journalism skills to amplify their voice about issues important to them. Completed projects will be distributed on Public Media Network.
