Media Shift

A narrative storytelling project
Media Activism - Documentary - Storytelling

Media Shift is an 15 week intensive hands-on training and production program to work with you to produce a 5 to 10 minute documentary video. The program is designed to help people use their voice for impactful storytelling with visual media.

You receive hands-on training in all aspects of the production process including pre-production, production and post production. We'll provide mentorship, training, and production equipment for you to produce your documentary video.

Time Requirements

Participants meet weekly on Saturdays from 1PM - 5 PM from August 26 - December 9, 2023 (excluding September 2 and November 25). A final public screening will be held on December 16, time TBD. You will also be expected to work on your documentary outside of class.

Media Shift Participants will commit to an average of 7-12 hours per week of instruction and production work to complete their short documentary.

A $750 stipend is provided to media shift producers upon completion of the program to offset time and travel costs.
