Repair Work on Michigan Avenue Resumes July 17, 2023
The second phase of repair work on Michigan Avenue from W Main Street to Harrison Street downtown is scheduled to start on Monday, July 17.
The street surface will be sealed, and traffic markings will be repainted with a new lane configuration to make the street safer for drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists.
Michigan Avenue will remain open to traffic during this work, with lane closures as needed in work areas.
This project will make the street safer for everyone and preserve its condition until it is reconstructed and converted to two-way in 2026-2028. Earlier this year, potholes were patched along the project area in preparation for this work.
