Take your first step into the exciting worlds of television and radio at the Access Center’s free Orientation. + Pre-Production Techniques
One session : $15.00
You’ve got the great idea for a program. But how do you get that idea from your head to the screen? Planning, planning, planning! Pre-production planning will get you started and help take the nervousness out of your production. As you learn the language of television, you’ll turn your idea into a script and plan your shoot with treatments, storyboards, and other planning tools. A must-take class for both new and veteran producers, this workshop is required before you are fully certified in Main Studio Production or Final Cut HD non-linear editing.

+ Mini-DV Camcorder Production
One session : $15.00
In this workshop you’ll learn about the specifics of using PMN's digital cameras and about using tripods, shot composition, and a little about location lighting and location audio. Find Upcoming Classes > > >
+ Final Cut Express Digital Editing
Two sessions : $30.00
Unleash your creative spirit! Quick cuts and smooth transitions for hot video productions are now at your fingertips in the Final Cut Express digital editing suites. You’ll have more control over audio, video, text and graphics than you ever thought possible. Create different sequences at different times then combine them into a seamless whole. + Tape-to-Tape Editing
Two sessions : $30.00
Video shot on location is rarely ready to play “as-is.” Sometimes all a program needs are titles at the beginning and credits at the end. Other times more extensive editing is required to take things out or maybe add something new. These and other changes are done in post-production editing. In this two-evening workshop, you’ll learn to take your video footage, and by editing it from one tape to another, turn it into a finished, complete program. Find Upcoming Classes > > >
