PMN, in conjunction with Kalamazoo RESA offers two Education for Employment, or EFE, classes that can be taken for high school credit by ALL students in Kalamazoo county: public, non-public, and homeschooled. Both are geared to provide employability and workplace skills for those looking for a career in media.

Digital Video Production

This course provides students with skills in the broad field of digital video production: corporate video departments, broadcast television stations, advertising agencies, etc. With a focus on documentaries, educational programming and television journalism projects, students will develop their: writing, research, storyboarding, camera, editing, directing and studio skills need to succeed.

Radio Broadcasting

This course explores all aspects of the radio industry including radio production, being an on-air personality, marketing, sales, promotion, engineering, writing for radio news and the history of the radio industry. Students will gain work experience on a student-run and managed radio station, 89.9 FM WKDS.
