Harry “Hap” Haasch
Harry “Hap” Haasch is currently Executive Director of Public Media Network (PMN) based in Kalamazoo, MI. Mr. Haasch joined PMN in July, 2005, after serving in a similar capacity for fifteen years with Community Television Network (CTN) in Ann Arbor, Michigan and for five years with Wheaton Community Television (WCTV) in Wheaton, Illinois.
In addition to community media management and administration, Mr. Haasch has an extensive background in telecommunication and cable television regulatory work.
Mr. Haasch earned a B.S. in Radio-Television-Film from Eastern Michigan University (1983), and a M.A. in Telecommunication Management from Michigan State University (1986).
He is married to his lovely college sweetheart (Susan), and the couple have three wonderful daughters (Kelsey, Haley, and Shannon). Mr. Haasch devotes much of his non-professional energy to coaching Gull Lake High School Girls Varsity Tennis and is active in the greater Kalamazoo “tennis community”.
Mark F. Monk
Mark began volunteering at the Public Media Network in 1984 and for the past 24 years has been an employee. He is currently the Operations Manager of PMN and Station Manager for WKDS 89.9FM, a hybrid educational and community radio station.
Mark has been a past member and board chair of the Michigan Chapter of the Alliance for Community Media (ACM), a past member of the National ACM board and currently the board chair for Central States – ACM.

Linda is a liaison for the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, responsible for all bookkeeping, human resources, running of the office and the official record keeper. She is a California cowgirl at heart, loves all sorts of arts & crafts, and currently has five fur babies.

As the Video Production Coordinator, Brian oversees GPSU and PMN productions. Starting in New Mexico Public TV in 1990, Brian has since worked around the country in the news, documentary and corporate fields. When he’s not avoiding his office (he’d much rather be out shooting and directing) Brian stays busy wrangling interns, keeping our municipal partners happy and partnering with the Arts Community.
As Programming Coordinator, Beth manages the content for our five channels, and helps producers with tech and programming questions. If you’ve got a question, Beth will help you find the answer. She’s been an active participant in community media for 10 years and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Alliance for Community Media and its subsidiaries.

As the Public Relations/Outreach Coordinator, Nick spends his days working with interns and staff to promote the services and activities that PMN has to offer the Kalamazoo community. When not working, his favorite activities are spending time outdoors with his family, visiting microbreweries around the Midwest, and enjoying films and music.

Ashley Morris is the Marketing & Promotion Coordinator at Public Media Network with over a decade of television experience including two internships in public access stations and over half a decade at PMN.

Matt Perigo, an instructor for EFE's digital video production and the PMN’s media production workshops. Matt got his start in the television media field when he worked for WWMT channel 3 in 1998 as a production assistant, master control operator, news cast editor, photojournalist and commercial production. He also served for 6 years in the Navy Reserve as a master at arms. He has an associate’s degree from Kalamazoo Valley Community College degree in animation and video production. He has won multiple awards for his short films and animations.
The first friendly face you will see at PMN is mine. I am currently enrolled at KVCC to receive my AAS to become an Administrative Assistant. In my free time, I love to read!
Facility Support Assistant
As a Facility Support Assistant, Matt is here to help producers with basic editing questions and troubleshooting, along with getting equipment when users come into the facility. He also monitors our five channels to ensure that things are working properly and to alert staff of any playback issues that might arise.

As Government Meeting Production Specialist, Al spends his days and evenings setting up for and covering the many public meetings in the area. Al is a lifetime Kalamazoo resident, interrupted by a few decades in Grand Rapids. Al has spent over 40 years in broadcast television, all in the West Michigan area. He recently retired but found the Public Media Network to be a wonderful opportunity to continue to be involved in the work he has done for a lifetime.
Al lives in Kalamazoo Township with his wife Ann and her cat Miles.
Karen Woodworth is the host of Connect and K-12 360, both produced through Public Media Network's Government Production Services Unit. She has a background in public and non-profit radio and is also a musicologist. When not at PMN, she directs musical ensembles and volunteers for various organizations. She's lived in Kalamazoo since 1990 and enjoys being a part of such a vibrant community.
